Success! One Day at a Time…

When similar messages come to mind or are presented to you, investigate them and be open to discovering what they mean. Your thoughts, words from other’s that encourage what you are doing or suggestions from those around you are very often the keys to your destiny being recognized. Your destiny will be revealed more and more as you delve into your story to see where your life purpose lies within those experiences.
Build on those things that are easy for you to do and that create a sense of purpose and fulfillment in your life. While it is true we have to train and educate our selves on many things to create success, there are core things within us that we are driven by. Discern what your core values are. Often the things we have been most passionate about through out life and that have touched us deeply are where we can find our core values. Find yours, write a brief mission statement about your core values that is something you are willing to live by and be committed to. It’s not enough to say you are passionate about something… put your passion into action!
Proceed by prioritizing and balancing your personal and professional life. Think about and discuss as appropriate with family what defines your success and what you are willing to sacrifice to achieve that success. Take baby steps to start living out your destiny and when you have had a discouraging day or day to day life gets in the way, start over again the next day. Look for the positive everyday and remember the things you have overcome and achieved in your journey so far. Always start and end with goals.
Think of goals in both big and small tasks and projects. Break your goals up into daily, weekly, monthly, annually and long term so they can be easier digestible and trackable as you achieve them. Be willing to be flexible and re-adjust your goals. Find others to hold you accountable for the goals you have set. It’s very hard to not fulfill a goal, or re-direct when we do not achieve it, when others are watching.
While you are living out your destiny, plan and purpose, be consistent about connecting with others. When doing so think about your approach, your timing and your intention. Sometimes these three things done poorly and without thought and effort can ruin the chances of establishing a connection with others. Be open minded, remember that you have a lot to share with and a lot to learn from others and vice versa.
Share your message and your intention with those that would value from it, a great message is wasted on the wrong audience. While building relationships with others, ask yourself what you are seeking in that relationship and what you have to offer. Use open, honest and effective communication, set boundaries and have realistic expectations. Seek out those who you are willing to spend time with and engage with either personally or professionally or both to be mentors to you. Learn from others that inspire and encourage you through their writings, spoken word or by observation.
Be flexible! Do not expect those you admire and learn from to be perfect or to never change. You will change over time too. Life circumstances will change over time. Realize and accept that the best laid plans may change. Sometimes what we want or choose to pursue changes over time. We can stay true to our core values and our destiny, yet we cannot control much of life circumstances or its timing.
When we believe the best is yet to come, life goes on and gets better.
You can get through the times of struggle and changes even when you did not want or expect them as long as you do not give up on your hopes and dreams. Do not allow yourself to feel stuck or trapped in whatever you are doing, if you take responsibility and realize you were the one to make choices and determine the path that you proceeded on, then it is up to you to un-stick and un-trap yourself!
Even those things we cannot control that happen to us allow us the choice of how we will react and deal with it. I pursue my life passion and live out my destiny while living with cancer and I do not forget who I am at my core and am happy with where I am at and what I am doing and realize that if today is all there is then I am content that I have done my best to create my success!

Great analogy here Angela. Life like success is a one day at a time, one step at a time, experience. Too many get ahead of themselves or try to quicken a natural process. As you wonderfully say use ‘baby steps to start living out your destiny’. One step after another. After all a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step and a dream of success with one day. The clue is there as we often say, ‘ONE DAY your dreams might come true’ Good advice, simple wisdom, thank you.

It is rather simple to blame the successful individual with having too much luck . The truth however maybe very different
