Think the Best
Work the Best
Expect the Best
These are some interesting words to live by and, in my mind, they form the basis for visualization in your life.
We have often heard about the best athletes in the world visualizing their entire performances before even getting to the event.
In Clear Your Limitations, I wrote, “Focus on, visualize, and expect the best, most positive outcomes as you take the actions necessary to achieve your goals.”
This fits here in my interpretation of this statement of the Optimist’s Creed and forms part of the foundation for clearing oneself of limiting beliefs or perceptions.
I can map out most of my adult life and report that when I am thinking the best, doing the best, and expecting the best, THE BEST HAPPENS!
The opposite is true if I am, instead, focused on whatever barriers there may be to achieving. I have found that those barriers are, more often than not, a perception… and a false one at that.
You have to be your own number 1 fan especially if you want to achieve those larger than life goals and aspirations… if you are focused on all the reasons you can’t achieve those goals you are doing yourself a disservice.
Think, instead, about what next step you can take care of to move down the path towards accomplishing those goals and then do your best to take care of that one step.
Once you have accomplished it, celebrate it, take a breath, and move on to the next one.
Be your own number 1 fan… think, do, and expect the best out of yourself and the best will happen!
