These guidelines are here to provide for a consistent and quality reading experience for the blog community.

The Article…

• All articles at Then Life Happens are about life… life stories, poetry, life lessons or words of encouragement, inspiration, or motivation.
• All articles at Then Life Happens are original… you must agree not to publish the post elsewhere. You may publish a summary or excerpt post elsewhere that points readers to the post here.  You are properly attributed as the author of the post and links to your preferred web space and social networks are included in every article.
• Posts between 500 and 800 words are recommended (this is not set in stone).
• Please spell check your posts.
• Not all posts are published.
• Do not include any affiliate links or advertising.

The Author…

• If you are a first time contributor to Then Life Happens, please include author information with your article.  The following information is considered essential:
  • Author’s full name.
  • Your valid, Gravatar-Enabled e-mail address. You may assign a Gravatar to your e-mail address at Gravatar.com.
  • A brief biography of 75-125 words explaining who you are and what makes you tick.  Examples of author biographies can be viewed at the end of every article on this site.
  • The full internet address your primary blog or website.
  • The Author’s preferred social media profiles and/or pages such as  Twitter, Facebook Profile or Page, and/or LinkedIn profile.

Other Information…

• Then Life Happens reserves the right to add images and formatting to the article.  Quality images from royalty free image providers are added to every article and formatting of your article will be consistent with other articles on this site.
• If you wish to provide your own image(s) for the post, they shall be of high quality and exceed 300×200 pixels in width and height. Images you provide will only be posted if you clearly indicate you own the image or a proper attribution is provided to the image owner.
• You may contribute as many articles as you wish.  You will be notified when articles are selected for publication. You will always be credited, along with links to your blog and social media profiles, for your articles published at Then Life Happens.
• Once published, articles are promoted on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
